Vacuum

It is an ongoing cooperative project "Vacuum", collaborates with artist Peiran Wang.

We take the fractured experience of women's lives and look at the fairy tale The Little Mermaid as a prototype for this experience, developing a range of creations such as performances, photographs, poems, artists' books and more.

It explores the question of identity between non-human creatures and queer feminism and aims to build narrative rights and identity subjectivity for women through collective research and co-creation.

This series of photographs is an offshoot of the Vacuum art co-operation project, presenting the main concept of the project in the form of fine art photography, with each piece interpreting the meaning of "vacuum" from different perspectives. Starting from the female's experience of disconnection in life, Vacuum explores the transformation and rebirth of this experience through artistic collaboration and creative exchange, using "The Little Mermaid" as a narrative archetype for describing the experience of disillusionment.
